Frankincense essential oil, extracted from the resin of the Boswellia treet, is famous for its curative and emotionally/physically appeasing properties. For a calming effect, diffuse a few drops of Frankincense essential oil in your living space. Mix a small quantity of this oil with vegetable oil and apply to areas of irritated skin or on small wounds to accelerate healing. In case of congested or infected airways, add a few drops in a bowl of hot water and inhale the vapour, or use it in massaging the chest and back to help clear airways and stimulate the immune system.

Essential oils are plant extracts obtained by distillation (bark, leaves or flowers). The plants’ active principles are extremely concentrated. Therefore, you should always dilute essential oils before using them directly on the skin.
